Doc View

mp3ql Manual » Windows

Introduction

The Doc View can be used to view and edit files. It was primarily intended as an interface for the mp3ql manual, enabling you to have the manual permanently accessible whilst using the application, whilst it is still used for this purpose it has been extended to provide various advanced editing functions, including the ability to utilise HTML Tidy, click on the link for more information (you will need to have HTML Tidy installed to make use of this). Therefore the doc view can be used as an HTML editor, but please be aware there are various limitations in the current QT html implementation and as a result it may be beneficial to use an external browser to preview your work. You can view a file by dragging it into the Doc View, double clicking a text file will open the undocked doc view, and depending on whether, or not, you have selected Open text files in edit mode it will instantly view the source, if not it will simply preview the document.

The File Menu

This menu provides you with the ability to Open, Save, Save As and Reload documents. An excellent feature of mp3ql is the dynamically updated context menus, thus you can also access these options from the Menu Bar.

The Tidy Html As ... function is used to specify a location to output the results to, this is primarily intended to preview the results of the 'Tidy' without having to commit to them.
